Rev. Harrel Dee Jones of Sapulpa, OK. stepped into heaven the evening of June 20, 2020 at his home surrounded by family.

Harrel was born November 7, 1933 in Grady Co., Ok. to Hubert and Dona Jones.  Prior to full time ministry, he was employed by Facet/Quantek Tulsa Industries where he was a maintenance supervisor.   He pioneered and pastored Crossroads church for 8 years in Tulsa Oklahoma.  After serving another 25 years as pastor, he finished his full-time pastoral ministry in 2014 from Oakhill Church in Mannford, OK.

Harrel met and married the love of his life, Betty Grayson.  They celebrated 64 years of marriage on April 15th 2020.

His greatest joy was preaching the word of God, leading people to the Lord and being a faithful servant of the Lord. He also cherished spending time with family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jones; His children, Patricia Pendergrass and her husband Bob,  Lawanda Hufft-Workman, Daryl Jones, Harrel Jones Jr, Robert Hufft, and Brenda Bell;  His grandchildren; Nikki Meyer and husband Courtney, Michael Pendergrass and wife Tiffany, Chris Jones and wife Rachel,  Andrea Jones, Lauren Boochie and husband Dwight Jr.,  Rosie Mays and husband Ryan, Alex Hufft and wife Maggie, Stephanie Collins and husband Matt, Avery Hufft, Drew Jones and wife Regan, Ginger Kelley and husband Jason, JP Bell and wife Tiffany, Andrea Bell; 14 great grandchildren, sister Diane Jessie and husband Roger, brother Marion Jones and wife Jean and a host of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Dona Jones, brother Dwight Jones, sister Karen Jones, son Terry Jones, grandchild Lindsay Hufft and great grandchild Rylan Mays.

Services will be Thursday, June 25th 2:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa, OK.
