Harold Bruton, 85 of Sapulpa, Oklahoma went to be with his heavenly father, on April 7, 2020 at Arbor Village Nursing Home.

Harold was born February 27, 1935, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Noble and Letha Bruton. He attended Sapulpa High School.  He met his wife, Bonnie and married her in 1954 celebrating 66 years of marriage. They had three children,  Rita, Harold, and Darold. He worked many years as an over the road truck driver. He loved to spend his free time with family and friends at their boat dock on Grand Lake.

In 1999, his life was forever changed when he had a stroke that paralyzed him. He gave his life to the Lord and we were blessed to have him another 21 years. He and Bonnie attended Westside Free Will Baptist Church in Sapulpa.

He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Bruton, son Harold and wife Karen, and son Darold.

9 grandchildren; Clarina, Cecil and wife Loretta, Patrick and wife Melanie, Darold, Daniel, Mindi and husband Robert, Cherise, Michael and wife Tasha, and Sajeanna.

19 great grandchildren; C.W., Brandon, Micayla, Mickensie, Conor, Chahannah, Cheylynn, Junior, John, Millie, Molly, James, Blake, Samuel, Malcolm, Hollie, Jacob, Haylee, and Madison. He is preceded in death by his daughter Rita Coleman, his parents Noble and Letha Bruton, two brothers Lonnie, Jay, and Larry and three sisters Corene, Thelma (Pug), Maxine, and Velma. Visitation will be Sunday, April 12th from 1pm to 5pm, there is a limit of 10 rotating people in the building at time. Service will be provided by Smith’s Funeral Home for immediate family only. No graveside service per city ordinance. A Remembrance Service to follow.
