Guy Davis Charles, 87 passed away at home at 1:00 A.M. Sunday, August 18, 2019 after an illness. He was born on May 30, 1932.

Guy was a long-time resident of Creek County. He served in the armed forces as an Army Medic in Germany. Guy had many hobbies. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an artist and sculptor. He was also an accomplished musician and singer having played with The Sooner Playboy Group and Tommy Seay and the Country Showmen.

Guy was and upholsterer by trade, and along with his wife Marianne, owned and operated Charles Upholstery for many years. Guy was also a proud member of the Cherokee tribe as well as proud to be a Christian by faith. He adored his family and friends. He was known as a loving and kind man and will be greatly missed.

Guy was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Morrow, father Guy M. Charles, brother Clarence Duncan Charles, and sister Wanda Wall. He was survived by his wife, Marianne Charles of Kiefer, who the family wants to recognize as being an excellent caregiver for Guy during his illness. He is also survived by his brother Kenny Charles of Kellyville, brother Marcus Doyle Charles of Kellyville, daughter Gloria Christner & husband John of Tulsa, son Ron Charles of Kiefer, Grandchildren Kim Hayes & husband Benji, Michelle McCarty & husband Austin of Kellyville, Jeff Charles & wife Shirley of Texas, Great-Grandchildren Wyatt Hayes, Madi Hayes, Haley McCarty, Ian McCarty, Eli McCarty, Cody Charles, Hailey Charles, brother-in-law Hans Anetzberger and other relatives in Germany.

Visitation – Tuesday August 20, 2019 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm Green Hill Funeral Home Sapulpa.
