Glenn Edsel Lankford, 64, died at his home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on Thursday, March 1, 2018.

Glenn was born October 2, 1953 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Cecil and J.D. Lankford. He grew up in Stroud, Oklahoma with his brothers Jay and Kenneth Lankford.

He worked at the same company for 42 years, staying through numerous name changes. When he began his career there it was Gaso Pump & Burner and it is now known as National Oilwell Varco. Through the years, his dedication to the company and the people formed many life-long friends that each have their own “Glenn story”.

He was an avid golfer, fisherman and loved the outdoors. Bowling, trivia, math, drawing, building things, fixing things, practical jokes, renovations, drafting, calligraphy, origami and so much more. He was good at everything he did.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 25 years, Alice, his son Adam Orr, his daughter and her husband Angel and Robert Buchanan, his daughter and her husband Stephanie and Lee Moore, his sons Davin Lankford and Charles Lankford, his daughter Melody Ham, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his daughter Amanda, his first wife Peggy Story Lankford and his parents J.D. and Cecil Lankford.

Glenn was a husband, a father, a best friend, a grandfather, a great-grandfather, an inspiration, a coach, a fan, a supporter, a confidant, a man of few words and many talents. He had amazing strength and courage and was loved by everyone that knew him. Always Loved, Never Forgotten, Forever Missed.

Memorial Services will be held at Green Hill Funeral Home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 8, 2018. 918-224-2312
