Franklin (Frank) Ray Fulks, 81, passed from this life Friday December 7, 2018 at Clarehouse in Tulsa surrounded by his family. He was born January 7, 1937 to Louis and Virgie Fulks in Wynnewood Oklahoma. Growing up his family lived numerous places and then finally settled down in the Rock Creek area, west of Sand Springs.
Frank graduated from the original Keystone High School in 1957 with a total of 7 graduates. He was called to serve his country and did so from October 28, 1959 until February 13, 1962. After returning from service he resided with the Firey family where he would meet Pat, his future wife. During that time, he also began what would become a 23 year career at Oklahoma Steel Castings in Tulsa.
Frank and Pat were married October 18, 1965 at Glenwood Assembly of God Church. They moved a few times, but eventually moved to Sapulpa, where they remained for over 50 years.
Early on he played basketball and softball with various teams. Later in life he got a lot of enjoyment watching the grandchildren play sports. His favorite, by far, was hunting, fishing and just being with family and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents. Sisters, Virginia Fulks, Lou Crump and brother Cecil Fulks. Son-in-law, Bo Miller, as well as many of his closest friends.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Pat. Brother, James of Kellyville. Daughters, Pattie and Tandy Thomas of Sapulpa, Kristy Miller and Darren Paulk of Foyil. Grandchildren, T.J. and Rebecca Thomas, Andrew Thomas, Berry Thomas, Logan Noel, Dusti Miller and Caden Miller. Great Grandchildren, Gavin, Maddux, Eden and Elsie Thomas, Aubree Davenport and Holli Boyles.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Smith Funeral Chapel, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK.
