Ethel Faye Dale, 87 of Sapulpa stepped into heaven on January 14, 2020 surrounded by her family. Ethel was born October 9, 1932 in Bonham, Texas to Manford James Putman and Laura Ellen Langsford. She graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1951. She worked at Standard Chevrolet in the 1950’s and worked for the Creek County Election Board and worked as a Precinct Polling Officer for elections. Ethel met and married the love of her life Edwin Eugene Dale on December 22, 1950 and had just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. She was a member of First Christian Church in Sapulpa. She loved her builders class at church. Many at First Christian loved how Ethel would dress herself and Eugene to match for attending church. Ethel had a card ministry that touched many. She only had to hear your birthday date once time or any special occasion date for that matter and you would receive a card every year from then on. Ethel was always so very proud of her Grandchildren; Billy Young and LeaAnn Smith for all their accomplishments and knowing they both had close relationships with God and how they blessed her and Eugene to be Great Grandparents 7 times. She is survived by her loving husband, Edwin Eugene Dale. Children; Deborah Welch and her spouse Forrest Welch, Darla Young and her spouse Dennis Young. Grandchildren; Billy Young and spouse Sandi Young, LeAnn Smith and spouse Chris Smith. Great Grandchildren; Jayce, Deacon, Tate and Coen Young, Abigail, Jacob and Hogan Smith. Services are Friday, January 17, 2020 at 2:00pm with visitation Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 5:00-7:00pm. Services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
