Eric Daniel Scarlato was born on July 18, 1966, in Brooklyn, NY to Doris Southerland. On July 7, 2024, he peacefully left this earth, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Eric’s journey through life was filled with passion, joy, and a deep commitment to those he loved.
Preceded in death by his beloved mother Doris, stepson Jake, brother Chris Hilliard, and many dear friends, Eric’s legacy is carried on by those who survive him. His daughter Erika Scarlato of Pennsylvania, his grandchildren Kaydence, Kaden, and Karson of Pennsylvania, who brought immense joy to his life, and Cameron Killough of Sapulpa, and Graisyn and Ryker Feltz of Tulsa, who will forever remember his playful spirit and gentle guidance.
Eric is also survived by his devoted sisters Christi Hilliard and Carmen Scarlato, who shared countless memories and unwavering support throughout his life. His god-daughters Brittany Hilliard and of Sapulpa and Baylee Feltz and husband Jared of Tulsa, God-Son Greg Parker and his nephew Joe Scarlato of Florida, will always cherish the love and wisdom he imparted.
Eric’s life was a tapestry of wonderful experiences and cherished pastimes. He found great joy in the game of golf, relishing the serenity and camaraderie it brought him. Time spent at the casino was another favorite, where he enjoyed the thrill and excitement of the games. Most of all, Eric treasured the moments he spent playing video games with his grandson Cameron, creating memories that will be held dear forever.
A small memorial service to honor Eric’s life will be held on Saturday, July 27th at 3 PM at the Salvation Army in Sapulpa
