Edward Clayton Stephens, I was born in Redfork, Oklahoma to Thomas and May Stephens on June 7, 1937. He passed away at his residence in Tulsa on January 30, 2019 at the age of 81.

Edward grew up around the Redfork area and attended Clinton High School. He moved to the Cincinnati, Ohio area where he worked for Diamond International. He married Charlotte Stephens and the couple raised a blended family. He was a hard-working man and a good provider for his family. He raised his family to be good and honest people. He enjoyed camping and fishing and his family has many fond memories at the lake as well as attending movies on Friday nights. He liked playing pranks on family and friends and had a good sense of humor. Later in his life he had a sweet tooth and liked eating candy and having “sneaky snacks.”

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Charlotte. He is survived by his children Edward Clayton Stephens, II and his wife Tressa C. Burr; Kathi Jo Scott; Shari Ann Scott; Lawanda Brandon; Elaine Maxwell; Michelle Teage; and Gary Cooper; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws and outlaws.

Funeral Services are scheduled at 2 pm Friday, February 8, 2019 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Woodland Memorial Park, Sand Springs. Visitation is from 12-8 pm on Thursday at Green Hill.
