Earl Broomhall, of Sapulpa, passed from this life on December 12, 2019 surrounded by his wife and daughters.
Earl was born November 22, 1942 in Bogue Chitto, MS to William and Ruth Broomhall. He graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1962 and retired from Baker Hughes as a CNC Machine operator.
Earl was married to Barbara Olansen in 1965 in Sapulpa. February 14th would have been their 55th wedding anniversary.
Earl was very creative and talented enjoying wood carving and wood working, baking, and has almost completed restoration of a 1966 Ford Thunderbird. Two months before his death, Earl completed a remodel of his kitchen where he built beautiful one of a kind custom cabinets that is the envy of all who see it.
More than anything else, Earl loved to travel with his wife and family. He visited 49 states and enjoyed visiting National Parks and Forests in every state along the way. He particularly loved Grand Teton Nation Park and found any opportunity to get in the RV and just stare at the mountains. He took a special pride in taking friends and family for their first visit to the park so he could witness their reaction when they saw the beautiful mountain range.
He had a caring and compassionate heart and loved dogs. He was always willing to give a helping hand. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Barbara. His daughters Barbie Quinlan and husband Scott, Terrie Broomhall and husband Dennis Dancer, and Laura Josserand and husband John as well as honorary daughters Heather Broomhall, Lisa Olansen, Julie Broomhall, and Jennifer Griffith. His lap will be greatly missed by his rescue dogs Ginger Dawn and KC Sue.
Earl was the youngest boy of ten children and is survived by his sisters Carolyn Wood and Gayle Crabtree. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Gladys Channell, William Jr., Barbara Mildred Bledsaw, Charles, Jerry, John, and Doris Brown.
He will be greatly missed by a host of nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
A memorial service will be Thursday December 19, 2019, 11:00 at Smith Funeral Home.
