Delbert Gene Brown was born on August 8, 1944, at 2:50 am in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Eddie Roxie and Rosie Jewel Brown. He passed from this Earth on September 6, 2021, at 6:50 pm at his home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. After graduating from Sapulpa High School, Delbert entered the army and served driving supply trucks throughout Europe. After leaving the army, he married Jackie Sue Bunch and settled in Sapulpa, Ok. He worked as a welder for Unit Rig and Equipment and later as a Pumper/Gager for Sunoco Refinery. He and Jackie had two children and he was a devoted father and loving husband. Later one of his favorite roles was Papa to his grandchildren. Delbert is preceded in death by his father and mother, Eddie and Rosie Brown; brothers, Ralph Brown, Andrew Brown, Clarence Brown; sisters, Mary Taylor, Clara Hancock, Eva King, Maxine Broom; several other loving family members. He is survived by his wife Jackie Brown, daughter Julie Vandiver and husband Jon, son Justin Brown and partner Jill, grandsons Justin and Joshua Vandiver and granddaughter Jordan Vandiver; Sister Bonnie Bruton, Sister Alice Lozada and husband Charles, Brother Richard Brown and wife Wanda; and many loving nieces and nephews, friends and other family members. He loved all of these and touched many lives deeply.
