Dean Oakley Allen, 90 of Sapulpa, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Dean was born on October 23, 1930, to Richard and Fanny Allen in the house his father built in Oakdale Township, Oklahoma.  Dean and Helen Rector were married on September 4, 1953, in Sapulpa and lived there and various other locations as he worked for several companies in the oil and gas industry.  During this time, he called for three different square dance clubs, Pairs and Squares, Swinging Singles and T-Town Teens.  After many years of working in the oil & gas industry Dean retired after 28 years with Cities Service Company in 1984, with his final job being Manager of Engineering Design Drafting.  After retirement he was self-employed in a family business of wood working and traveling to trade shows.  He resided in the Sapulpa community from 1977 until his death and was a member of the First United Methodist church of Sapulpa.

After his retirement from his woodworking business, he loved to work on projects for the house and his family.  His favorite pastime was to play in his gardens and yard, driving his riding lawn mower and helping the boys with the burn pit.
