Danny Ray Davis, Sr. age 75 of Sapulpa passed away May 16, 2019. He was born May 2, 1944 in Shawnee, Oklahoma and graduated Shawnee High School class of 1961.
Danny was an entrepreneur in every sense of the word. He created Davis Manufacturing from a one car garage at the age of 22 and dedicated his whole life to the love of his work and his shop. He unapologetically enjoyed life on his own terms. He loved fast cars, fast motorcycles, hunting, fishing and was an exceptional machinist, draftsman, mechanic and welder.
Preceded in death by his parents, C.O. and Vera Davis of Shawnee and his long-time partner, Bertha Miller.
He is survived by his daughter Danna Kay (Davis) Barron and her husband, Ruben of San Diego, California; son Danny Ray Davis Jr. and his wife, Sherri (Gouker) Davis; daughter Ruby Laughter and partner Carmen Rodriguez of St. Thomas Virgin Island. Danny is survived by four grandsons: Michael Barron, Nashville Tennessee; Robert Barron, Shawnee, Oklahoma; Christian Davis and Logan Davis, Bristow, Oklahoma.
