Christine Renee Parker (Hoggatt), 57, beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend, was called home on Jan. 9, 2024, at her home in Catoosa, Oklahoma, following a long illness.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Christine’s life will be held on January 28, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Salvation Army at 1721 South Hickory Street in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. This gathering will be a time for friends, family and loved ones to come together to share memories, offer support, and find solace in one another.
Christine was born Aug. 17, 1966, in Norman, Oklahoma, to her loving parents, Edine Penn (Hoggatt)and Stan Hoggatt. Her life was filled with love and joy, even in the face of adversity. She was preceded in death by her son, Andrew Haliburton, her husband, Mike Parker, brother Rollin Hoggatt and stepfather Brit Penn. Even in the face of such unimaginable loss, Christine’s spirit remained strong, and she left an incredible impact on all who knew her.
She is survived by her parents, Edine Penn and Stan Hoggatt; sister Angela and husband Michael Buescher; daughter Heather Calkins and husband Ryan; sons Shane Parker and wife Mallory, Joshua Parker and wife Katy, and Justin Parker. Also surviving her are eight cherished grandchildren, four nieces and nephews, and a multitude of extended family and friends.
Christine’s strong faith was evident in her family involvement at Tulsa Bible Church, where she met many lifelong friends. She had a deep love for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her warm and caring nature touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
As a homemaker and homeschool mom, Christine dedicated herself to nurturing her children and providing them with a loving and supportive environment. Her selflessness and dedication were evident in the strong bonds she formed with her children, who will forever be grateful for her love and guidance.
In her youth, Christine was an award-winning gymnast. As an adult, she indulged her love for traveling, often embarking on adventures in her RV with her then partner, Michael Rollins. Exploring new places and experiencing new cultures brought her great joy and fulfillment, though her greatest treasures in life were her five children.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Christine will remember her as an incredibly artistic, bubbly, whimsical and free-spirited woman. Her infectious laugh and radiant smile could brighten even the darkest days. She had a zest for life that was infectious and inspiring.
Christine Renee Parker was an extraordinary friend whose love, compassion, and kindness left an indelible mark on the world. Her legacy will continue to shine brightly through the lives of those she touched. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
