Cherroll (Gyles) Moss, 88, of Sapulpa passed from this life on Monday, June 17, 2019 at The Gardens in Sapulpa. She was born in Weatherford, OK to Thomas and Eva (Smalley) Gyles on November 7. 1930. She graduated from Foyil High School in 1948.
Cherroll married D. L. Moss in 1968 and they were married for 40 years until he passed away.
Cherroll joined the U.S. Army in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1953. She worked for JCPenny’s in Sapulpa for 20 plus years until they closed.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Joan Prosser of Glenpool; 2 sons, James Helton of Sapulpa and David Helton of Mounds; 2 grandsons, Stephen Wolf of Tonkawa and Riley Helton of Edmond; 1 granddaughter, Heather Helton of Glenpool; 1 brother, T.W. Helton of Midwest City; 1 sister, Leona Williams of Tucson, AZ.
She was preceded in death by husband, D. L. Moss; parents, Thomas and Eva Gyles; son, Thomas Helton; sisters, Elizabeth Lyons, Elsie Morris, Naomi (Tine) Gyles and Shirley Gyles (Infant); and brothers, Timothy Gyles and Jack Gyles.
The Family would like to thank The Gardens Skilled Nursing in Sapulpa for the great care they gave her and the support they gave the family.
