Charley Curtis Smith was born December 4, 1936 to Seamon and Julia Irene Smith in Bristow, Oklahoma. He departed this life January 23, 2021 at the age of 84.
He was a hard worker that was selfless when it came to taking care of his family. He served his country in the united states Air Force from 1955 to 1959. He owned and operated a dairy farm until finally selling and retiring.
He enjoyed fishing and farming. He was well known for his immaculate yard. It was as smooth as a golf course. Charley loved spending time with his brothers and sisters and especially his grandchildren. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help others when called upon.
He is survived by one son Johnny Smith and wife Tricia; four siblings, Clayton Smith, Melton Smith and wife Juanita, Nadine Plum and husband Charles, Jackie Smith and wife Kathy; five grandchildren, Mariah Quimby and husband Bret, Gentry Smith, Locklyn Smith, Shay Smith and Karter Smith; one great grandson, Bowdie Quimby. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sons, John William Smith, Charley Curtis Smith Jr. and Bobby Langley: eight siblings, Merle Smith, Seamon Smith, Glen Smith, Nita Watts, Gerald Smith, Joyce Stubblefield, Janice Kennedy and Louise Campbell.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the Bristow Advent Christian Church with Reverend Johnny Plum officiating. Interment will follow at the Bristow City Cemetery.
