Charley Dale Dobson went to his reward January 25, 2020 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was born November 24, 1949 at Bristow, Oklahoma to Edward Lee “Pete” Dobson and Juanita June.
Dale graduated from Bristow High School and attended college at NSU. He finished his degree at Gradwohl School of Laboratory Technology in Saint Louis, Missouri. Charley Dale Dobson and Wileeta Lawrence were united in marriage June 26, 1970. From this union were born two children Brent and Kami. After graduation from college he was employed at Bristow Memorial Hospital. Dale remained at the hospital for most of his forty years in the medical field. He was disabled at the age of 63 when Dale and Wileeta retired in Broken Arrow to be near their children.
He was a member of the Bristow First Church of God. He served as Sunday school teacher, worship team and choir member, youth worker and member of the board. He loved people and has a passion to see young people know the Lord.
He is survived by his wife Wileeta Lawrence Dobson of the home; son, Dr. Brent Dobson and wife Jaquina and their two daughters Kaiya and Kenli of Owasso, Oklahoma; daughter, Kami Sword and husband Justin and their two sons, Gabe and Noah of Broken Arrow; three brothers, Keith Dobson and wife Janet of Altus, Oklahoma, Gary Dobson and wife Mary of Skiatook, Oklahoma and Jack Dobson of Bristow. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, January 31, 2020 at the First Church of God with Reverend Tim Mosher officiating.
