Bonnie Louise Chapman was born August 26, 1922 in Pawhuska the daughter of Harry Leander and Flossy Bell (Hedrick) Terry. She went to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 3, 2019 in Fletcher, peacefully in her sleep. Bonnie graduated Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City in 1942. She served on the Glenpool City Council for 2 terms, organized the Glenpool Senior Citizens and was honored by the Glenpool Community Center being named after her. She organized many senior citizen tours, drove the senior citizens bus locally and was awarded many awards for service to the Glenpool community including the Glenpool Sertoma Club Service to Mankind Award and Outstanding Volunteer Award presented to her by then governor, Henry Bellman. Bonnie also volunteered many hours at the Tulsa Food Bank. She enjoyed travelling to Australia, Belize, Guatemala and nationwide. She also enjoyed spending summer weekends at the cabin on Grand Lake. Bonnie is survived by daughters, Eddie Louise Guthrie and husband, Don of Tulsa and Harriett Katherine Robinson and husband, Lavern of Fletcher; grandchildren, Dwain Guthrie, Sheldon Guthrie, Vincent Robinson, Victor Robinson, Valynda Monroe and Tammy Robinson; 8 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, James Ray Chapman; sisters, Lucille Burrows, Helen Smith and Faye Belle Lutz; and brothers, Bill, Jack, Lloyd and Bud Terry. Viewing for Bonnie will be held Friday, February 8, 2019 from 8am to 8pm. A funeral service is scheduled for 1pm, Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the First Baptist Church, 52 E. 145th Street in Glenpool. Arrangements are under the direction of Heath-Griffith Funeral Home
