Robert “Bob” Edward Hill 82, of Sapulpa went to be with his Lord, September 6, 2019. He was surrounded by his loved ones until the very end. Bob was born July 6, 1937 in Sapulpa, to Owen and Crystal Hill. He graduated from Sapulpa High School and continued his education at Oklahoma A&M (OSU) earning his bachelor’s degree. Following college, he began his career with Liberty Glass Company where he retired after 42 years. He worked in many capacities there, eventually becoming mold maker and shop supervisor. Bob was also a glass designer and had several designs that were patent for and used by Liberty Glass.

Bob met and was very blessed to marry the love of his life Dottie Clark Hill. They were married in Sapulpa, December 13, 1968.

Bob was an outdoorsman. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent as much time as afforded him to enjoy both.

Bob’s greatest loves were God and his family. His greatest passion was his ministry. After his retirement from Liberty Glass, Bob was ordained as a minster and became involved with prison ministries, a ministry he was called to and one that he was very committed too. It wasn’t unusual for Bob to go to a different prison every night of the week, to bring the good word to the inmates, and to help them to try and find inner peace and to just be their friend. He taught drug and alcohol abuse classes within the prison system. Bob was a loving and caring man, who is loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Bob his survived by his loving wife Dottie of the home, his children, Dr. Robert Kevin Hill and his wife Marcia of Sapulpa, Tammi Shannon of Tulsa, Terry Hill and his wife Debra of Sapulpa, and Kenny Hill and his wife Brenda of Sand Springs; grandchildren Cameron, Natasha, Ian, Tanner, Tara, Chloe, Makayla and 5 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Owen and Crystal Hill; his sister Barbetta Prine and her husband John and son Tim Shannon.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 12. 2019 at 10:00am at First Christian Church in Sapulpa
