Bobby James Flynt was born September 29, 1928 to Noah and Dollie Flynt in Micawber, Oklahoma. He departed this life May 9, 2019 at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 10 days.
Bob served his country faithfully with the United States Air Force. He and Lorretta Chamness were wed in Drumright, Oklahoma May 6, 1977. Together they shared 32 years before her passing in April of 2009. After the loss of his wife Bob began to spend time with Deloris Newport and they were wed in 2010. He worked in many facets throughout his life to include owning a furniture store, working with the Creek County Sheriff’s department as a deputy and security guard for the casino. He was an avid outdoorsman that could spend hours outside doing just about anything but most notably gardening, hunting and fishing. He loved the Lord and served faithfully as a member of the Church of Christ.
Bob is survived by his wife of nearly nine years Deloris Flynt; two sons, Les Flynt and wife Susan of Broken Arrow and Ron Flynt and wife Peggy of Hayward, California; two step-children Brad Newport of Sand Springs and Beverly Bradley of Silver City; three grandchildren, Shawna Flynt and husband Bryan, Katy Englund and husband Erik, Peter Flynt and wife Kara; eight great-grandchildren, Bradley, Mya, Shane, Elaina, Kelsey, Breanna, Adrian, Alex and Emily. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Loretta.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday May 11, 2019 at the Church of Christ in Bristow, Oklahoma with Bill Conkling officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Memorial Gardens.
