Beverly Ann Lucas, 67, of Kellyville, OK, was called home by our Lord on March 4th, 2021. Beverly was born on March 23rd, 1953 to Laura Elizabeth and James “Pete” Riley Harper in Tulsa, OK. She attended Pretty Water School until 8th grade before moving to Kellyville High School and graduating in 1971. She attended Blue Bell Church as a child and First Christian Church of Kellyville as an adult. After graduation, she landed her first job as a Dietician for Bartlett Hospital. In 1983, she married her husband, Gary Dale Lucas. They lived together in Sapulpa, OK until his passing in 2012. She worked for the town of Kellyville for 17 years. She began as the first Librarian at Kellyville Library and then moved to the Town Clerk. She loved spending her time crocheting, and spending time with her dog, Honey. Most of all she loved and adored children. All children. Most of which knew her simply by Aunt B, Mom or Oma. Her life revolved around making the lives of children better. Be it leading camp fire groups, teaching Sunday school classes or preschool at the First Christian Church of Kellyville, or attending children’s activities. She made a difference in so many of their lives. Most of us have been present to see how she would light up and beam with pride when telling a story about one of her grandkids, nieces or nephews. As much as she was not ready to leave all of us, it was a call she couldn’t refuse. For this call brought her home to reunite with her family and friends that she had not seen in quite some time. Her new mission took her to the most beautiful place where she has endless amounts of time to read, crochet, and most of all reminisce with family and friends she missed dearly. We want to let Beverly know that she did an amazing job while here on Earth with us. She made sure we all knew how important we were to her. We will remember her smile, her warmth and how she gave the absolute best hugs.

Beverly was preceded in death by husband Gary Lucas; daughter, Jennifer Ann Meeks; siblings, Pamela Smith, Jimmy Harper, Don Harper, Steven “Freddy” Harper; parents, Pete and Laura Harper.
