Roberts, Betty Jo,  99 years and 4 months old departed this World “a shouting” as she entered the Kingdom of Heaven July 14, 2020 surrounded by her surviving children. She was greeted in Heaven by her son James Roberts, husband Floyd “Eddy” Roberts, grandsons Mike Belcher and Stevie Kissinger, great grandsons Brandon Moore, Toby Roberts, Sean Silcher and Jack Hensley. Along with her parents Roy and Ferol Leeds and her siblings George, Curly, Judy, Bonnie, Ken and Hazel. 

Betty was born in Arthur, Nebraska on March 4, 1921 to
Roy and Ruby Ferol Leeds. They lived there for a while before moving West to California. Settling in Chico, California. Betty was a hairdresser for a time before meeting Floyd Edward Roberts in late 1940. They married on February 21, 1941 in Reno, Nevada. They had three children while living in California; James L. Roberts, Janet Lynn Roberts (Belcher) and Floyd Elden Roberts. Floyd and Betty packed up the kids and moved to Oklahoma where Eddy’s family lived. Once in Oklahoma they had three more children: Ernest Lee Roberts, Thomas Wayne Roberts and BJ Roberts (Kissinger).

Betty loved her family and especially enjoyed feeding all of them!. She was known for her homemade pies! She was an avid quilter and seamstress. She painstakingly made a quilt honoring those who lost their lives in the OKC Bombing and honored those who helped with recovery efforts after the Oklahoma City Bombing. She presented that quilt to then First Lady of Oklahoma Cathy Keating. It is now in the OKC Bombing Museum. She also made a quilt to be included in the AIDS Memorial Quilt  Project in Washington DC. It was presented by my sister in law Juanita Roberts. 

She loved fast cars and fast horses and Baseball! 

Above all Betty loved to serve the Lord. This is who she was. She had a warm and compassionate heart and will be missed by everyone who knew her and knew of her.

She is survived by her children Floyd Roberts and wife Kuma, Janet Belcher and husband Jim. Ernie Roberts and wife Wilma. Tom Roberts and wife Juanita and BJ Kissinger and husband Steve. 

She has 22 Grandchildren, 42 Great Grandchildren, 10 Great-Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Great Granddaughter.
