Betty Lucille Fenton was born January 17, 1932 to John and Sylvia Henderson Burgett in Bristow, Oklahoma.  She died peacefully September 15, 2020 at her home near Iron Post/Gypsy, Oklahoma.  Betty Lucille Burgett and Willis Mervin Fenton were united in marriage April 1, 1950 in Bristow, Oklahoma.  From this union were born four children, Sheryl, Larry Joe, Jack and Willis Mervin Jr. (Butch). They enjoyed 59 years together before his passing November 7, 2009.

Betty enjoyed crocheting, knitting, fishing and doing crossword puzzles but most of all she cherished spending time with her grandchildren which totaled, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Sheryl Fenton of Sand Springs; two sons, Jack Fenton of Gypsy and Butch Fenton and wife Shelly of Welty; one brother Norman Burgett of Gypsy; one sister, Margaret Keeter and husband Frank of Bristow; grandchildren, Tim Spencer and wife Heather of Houston, Texas, Brian Spencer of Gypsy, Brett Spencer of Sand Springs, Traycie Spencer and husband Justin of Sand Springs, Larry Joe Fenton Jr. “Little Joe” of Del City, Jessica Blackburn of Gypsy, Jesse Fenton of Colorado, Dayna Crawford and husband Chuck of Gypsy, Stephanie Hunt and husband Jason of Depew, Adrianne Fenton of Depew, Cole Fenton and wife April of Depew, Chris Montgomery and Mikey Montgomery of Welty; great grandchildren KateLynn Nowak and husband Dustin of Houston, Texas, Caleb Spencer of Houston, Texas, Michael Spencer of Tulsa, Wyatt Spencer of Gypsy, Emilee Spencer of Tulsa, Taylor Spencer, Hunter Spencer and Cody Spencer of Sand Springs, Chaney Crawford of Gypsy, Garrett Crawford of Ada, Kaitlyn Crawford of Gypsy, Tanner Hunt and Tavin Hunt of Depew, Casen Holcomb of Bristow, Cannon Simmons of Depew, Laramie and Kyler Fenton of Depew, Jaxyn and Jurni Blackburn of Gypsy; Great great grandchildren, Axton Hunt of Depew, Avery Nowak of Houston, Texas, Jemma Rodriguez of Sapulpa and Tatum Lane-Spencer of Gypsy.  She is also survived by two maternal aunts and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Sylvia Burgett, husband, Willis Fenton, infant daughter Dawn Lea and son Larry Joe Fenton, Sr.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM, Friday, September 18, 2020 at the Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Bristow City Cemetery.
