Betty Lee Conway received her Godly Wings on Friday, January 15, 2021 while residing at The Gardens. She was the widow of J. Patrick Conway. They had shared 58 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2006. Betty was born in Sapulpa, OK in 1929. She was the daughter of Lee & Bonnie Hammersley-Lantz. Betty graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1947. After graduating she attended Roberts Beauty College in Tulsa, OK. She worked as a hair stylist for a few years. Then she found her calling helping mentally & physically challenged individuals. Betty was one of the original group of citizens who volunteered at what is now SHOW, Inc. Her tireless work with those afflicted with mental & physical challenges turned into a lifetime of volunteering with this organization. 30+ years. Everyone who was lucky enough to have Betty assigned to them, cherished her compassion, patience and understanding. Betty was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. You could always depend on her if something needed to be done at Church. She was very giving of her precious time. With any spare time, Betty loved tending to her flowers. Her family was also especially important to her. Betty is survived by her children: Kathy Conway Fowler, J. Patrick III (Mary), Mary Conway-Gregory, Alexia Conway, & Michael Conway. Also, her dear Companion & Caregiver Marvin Lawson. She is preceded in death by: Lee & Bonnie Hammersley-Lantz (parents); J. Patrick III (husband); Anne Seay (sister), Melvin Seay (brother-in-law), Tracy Seay (nephew), and Larry Gregory (son-in-law). The Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wed., Jan. 20th at 1:00 with interment to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
