Betty JoAnn Adams was born January 1, 1929, to William and Nellie Vaughn at home near Kellyville, OK. She went to be with the Lord, September 22, 2021, at the age of 92. Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Orville and Eugene Vaughn, sisters, Mary Baker and Norma Ogden, daughters, Donna Rae Childress, Shirley Lee Richburg, and Charliss Jean Gilbert. Betty, also known as Grandma, Mimi, and Grandma Mimi enjoyed cooking and hanging out with her family and friends. She had a passion for sewing anything you wanted, if she had the material, you could bet you were getting something special for your birthday or Christmas and if anything was mentioned, you would have it soon. She had an art for crocheting clothes for grandchildren, great grands, and great great grands, afghans, and many other things. Her tradition of homemade things will be dearly missed. Betty is survived by her sister, Margaret Overlease of Mannford, son, Bobby Christian of Tulsa, grandchildren, Shelly Legrand and husband, Tony of Sapulpa, Shelia Bergner and husband, Chris of Sand Springs, Tracey Armstrong and husband, Tim of Mounds, Tommy Gilbert and wife, Tracie of Okmulgee, Denise Reinke and husband, Don of Broken Arrow, Darren Richburg of Bristow, Diane Curry and husband, Darrell of Shamrock, Carl (Duke) Richburg of Drumright, Jimmy Christian and wife, Tressa of Skiatook, Jeremy Christian of Coweta, and Krista Christian of Tulsa; 22 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
