Aaron Jones

Aaron David Jones was born on June 30th, 1965 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Buck and Nita Hellard Jones. He left this world to go to his Heavenly home when his Saviour called him on Feb 13, 2021.  Aaron grew up in Kellyville, OK with his family and attended Kellyville Public Schools. While  in high school he took an Off- Set Printing class at Central Vo-tech in Drumright. He graduated in 1983.  Aaron was an artist that could draw anything in the world that he wanted. It came natural to him and he had to be in the mood to do it. Once he set his mind to it, we never saw anything he wasn’t able to draw, but his love was in Wildlife. Big cats were his specialty and he seemed to take extra pride when drawing these beautiful animals.  He loved hunting and fishing and would brag about how good he thought he was at both. He loved guns, fishing, 4×4 trucks and even enjoyed riding motorcycles when he got the chance,

He met the love of his life, Anita Masters. They were married on March 27th, 1987 in Sapulpa, Ok. They would make their home in Sand Springs and that is where he resided at the time of his passing. Aaron worked several different jobs while deciding what he was called to do in life. He worked at Wal-Mart for several years, sold life insurance, and even opened up his own Print Shoppe Company for a few years. In later years he created Bold Truth Publishing where he published Chrisitan Books for pastors and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.  He got saved at West Side Free Will Baptist Church and answered the call to preach the Gospel. He pastored two different churches, one in Skiatook and the other in Langley, Ok.  His heart was in the mission field and he made several mission trips around the world. He preached in South America, Norway,  Kenya, Africa and several other countries.  His love for the African people was his passion and said many times he didn’t feel comfortable in Oklahoma because his heart was in Africa. Many lives across the globe were touched because of his commitment to the Lord and his desire to see souls saved across the world.

Aaron and Anita had their first child, LaBreska Lynn Jones,  on May 10th, 2000. Their second child, Tamika Gayle Jones, was born on December 17th, 2002. The family grew up in Sand Springs and both of their girls have won several awards and recognition during their school years most notable in the 4H program.  Aaron was quick to brag and tell everyone how proud of his girls he was. LaBreska is currently attending college at Oral Roberts University and Tamika is a Senior at Charles Page High School. In 2019 he inherited a son as Labreska married her love, Blaine Freeman, who is in the US Navy and stationed in San Diego.
