Nature Knows Best: Introducing Queen City Oil and Vinegars

Healthy oils and vinegar should be an important part of our diet. Virgin olive oil is believed to help reduce high blood pressure, improve brain function, promote healthy skin and nails and so much more! This versatile oil can be used for cooking, baking, and salad dressings. Balsamic vinegar is believed to aid in digestion, reduce blood sugar levels, lower cholesterol and aid in losing weight.

Finding pure, high-quality products that can be trusted can be challenging. An Oklahoma family went on a mission to find the best oil and balsamic vinegar they would feel comfortable serving their own growing family. Phan and Jessica Nguyen of Muskogee searched high and low, found what they were looking for and are excited to share their find with us. Their recently launched line of hand-crafted products called Queen City Oils and Vinegars is hot off the press.

They offer vegan and non-GMO extra virgin olive oils (EVOO) and balsamic vinegar. Their oil flavors include Fresh Garlic, Meyer Lemon, Blood Orange and so many more. Their Dark Balsamic Vinegar options include Mediterranean, Fig, White Lemongrass, Black Garlic, and Signature.

The website says, “Small Town, Big Taste” and we have to agree. We recently purchased the Black Garlic Balsamic Vinegar and were shocked at the flavor. One of my daughters said, “It tastes so good it feels like I shouldn’t be eating it.” We also noticed the thick consistency. Jessica said it’s because most balsamic vinegar is on the market is 80% vinegar and 20% Grape Must while Queen City’s vinegars are 80% Grape Must and 20% vinegar. Grape Must is comprised of the first pressing of the fruit.

Their top sellers are the Garlic EVOO, Black Garlic Balsamic Vinegar, and their Signature Vinegar. The beautiful bottles retail for $15.95 each, 375ml. They even offer organic pasta.

The name Queen City Oils and Vinegars and its modern label are full of history and symbolism pointing to the love they have for Muskogee. Their website and facebook page are fresh, well thought out and easy to navigate.

The products can be found at the Vintage Phoenix in Broken Arrow or on their website. Free gift-wrapping is currently available for online orders just in time for the gift-giving season.

I strongly believe in eating healthy and shopping small to support families and local businesses and am thankful Phan and Jessica have done the hard work for us; all we have to do is shop…and eat!
