Band

Huge congratulations to the following students who placed in the All-State Bands after auditioning this Saturday!

Wrestling

The high school girls’  traveled to the Jay Invitational last Friday and Saturday. Congrats to the following two wrestlers for placing in this very tough tourney:

  • Caris Morris – 3rd

Also, the junior high boys’ and girls traveled to Sand Springs Friday and Saturday. Here are the placers from that tournament:

JH boys

  • Jack Lucas – 6th
  • Aberic Scott – 4th

JH girls

  • Kaydance Sherwood – Runner up
  • Elisabeth Courverler – 3rd

Basketball

Congrats to Coach Calip and Coach Nagel on opening up the season with a W as they traveled to McAlester last Friday! Both teams play at Rogers tomorrow night then are both in tournaments to close out this week. The ladies travel back to Arkansas for the Tournament of Champions while the men travel to Bishop Kelley for the BK Invitational. Brackets for both are attached.  Both teams will be at home next Tuesday and Friday in the Chieftain Center.

Ping Pings

It is state week for the Pings as they compete at OSDTDA.  Here is the schedule for the ladies:

FRIDAY:

  • Solos between 8:10am – 4:16pm
  • Ensemble 7:20
  • Awards start 7:40ish

SATURDAY:

  • Sapulpa Varsity Kick 4:07
  • Sapulpa Varsity Mix 7:27
  • Awards start 9ish

SUNDAY:

  • Ensemble between 11:56am – 12:10pm (battles)
  • Mix & Kick between 10:00am – 2:00pm (battles)
  • All-State performance 2:21
  • Awards immediately following all state routine

All events for the Pings will be at the Cox Convention Center. Good luck, ladies!
