Jered Degraffenreid, 26, was arrested on Saturday, September 12th after police were called regarding a domestic dispute.
According to the arrest report, Officer Jonathan Noah responded to the call, where he found the victim, who said that Degraffenreid had grabbed her by the throat and shoved her to the ground.
Noah reported that he observed “what appeared to be a hand print around her neck…and a minor laceration on her arm,” which the victim says she doesn’t know how she got.
The victim said the incident took place in front of her children, who are three and five-years-old. She also stated that the defendant left immediately after the assault, telling her he was “going to get his brother and come back to make her regret it,” according to the police report.
Degraffenreid was found at his last known address and arrested on charges of domestic by strangulation and domestic assault and battery in the presence of a child. He has no previous criminal charges or convictions.
