The Kiwanis Club of Sapulpa is pleased to announce that the SJH Builders Club finished the 2019-20 year as an Honors Club. Thanks to their hard work, and considering school was suddenly closed due to the Covid-19 Epidemic, this designation is well deserved! We are so proud of the students and their great sponsor, Coach Debbie Williams, for this achievement.

Like many other clubs and organizations, Sapulpa Kiwanis has canceled all meetings, luncheons, and fund-raising activities in accordance with OK state guidelines. In recent years, the annual Kiwanis Golf Tournament had been held in early May. However, a recent decision by the Board of Directors has moved this event to fall 2020. Kiwanis President Zak Dyer commented “We anxiously look forward to having another golf tournament to test your skills on the course and to raise funds for scholarships. Right now, our biggest concern is safely providing you this opportunity.”

Another popular event, the Reg Green Memorial Fishing Derby, was canceled due to the close proximity of club members and participants. Last year’s derby provided a great hands-on experience for young anglers. Sapulpa Kiwanis covered stocking the pond, lunch, and fishing equipment. We anxiously look forward to planning the 2021 Derby!
