Kiefer Lady Trojans remain undefeated in win against Depew

Kiefer Lady Trojans kicked the Depew Lady Hornets' nest and walked away unscathed with a final score of 78 to 29.

The Kiefer Lady Trojans, coming off of a win against Prague, added another win to their undefeated season, swatting the Depew Lady Hornets with a final score of 78 to 29.

In the first quarter, the Lady Trojans started out strong, with a 28 to 11 point lead against the Lady Hornets. Seniors Kenzie Cook and Kayla Ashford each contributed 6 points to the run, along with Lauren Ramey’s 5, to propel the Lady Trojans to a strong start.

_mg_2890.jpgIn the second quarter, the Lady Trojans stayed strong, ending the quarter by a margin of 18 to 6 over the Lady Hornets, with Lauren Ramey taking the lead, contributing 5 points to the quarter, and Savannah Lee and Kenzie cook each contributing 4 points a piece.

At halftime, the score was 46 to 17.

In the third quarter, the Lady Trojans continued advancing, utilizing their bench along with their starting team, who took care of the Lady Hornets with a margin of 17 to 4. In this quarter, Makayla Melton, a senior starter, contributed the top run of 4 points, and Mariah Perez also contributed 4 points to the run.

In the final quarter, the Lady Trojans continued a strong showing, scoring 15 to the Lady Hornets 8. Megan King led the way with 8 points, and Averi Allen 4.
