Facebook helps Sapulpa, Tulsa police in capturing robbery suspect

A man believed to be involved in an armed robbery at a Sapulpa motel was arrested in a joint effort by police in Tulsa late Wednesday.

Sapulpa police Maj. Mike Reed said undercover officers were conducting surveillance on a Toyota RAV4 about 10:40 p.m. when it entered Tulsa city limits. The vehicle was connected to a robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon at the Super 8 motel in Sapulpa, he said.

Tulsa police were called in to assist and pulled over the vehicle on Interstate 44. The driver, Joshua Wayne Cantrell, 36, reportedly ran across the highway.
