Creek County Commissioners have instituted a burn ban, effective at noon today and expected to last two weeks through noon on November 3rd, according to a statement on the Creek County Sherriff’s website.
“The Board of County Commissioners passed a burn ban on Monday, October 21, 2024 (Emergency Proclamation 2024-161). The ban is in effect for 14 days. It will begin at 12 pm on October 21, 2024, through 12 pm on November 3, 2024, or until such time as weather conditions warrant the repeal and such repeal is made by the Board.”
According to the proclamation posted to the Creek County Facebook Page, exceptions to ban would be a gas grill on a concrete pad, or welding with pressurized water on standby. For the full proclamation, see their post on Facebook.
