City Hall is experiencing a problem with their credit card system, so right now they’re taking cash or check only, but until it’s resolved, they won’t be charging late fees.

Lots of construction happening downtown this week! The new Cookery restaurant continues to under renovation with the installation of a new grease trap. The former Moment In Time building has been sold to a real estate company, and renovations of the building have uncovered a perfectly preserved Wrigley’s Spearmint ad from the 1920s! Sapulpa’s best botanist, Kent Daniel is installing the new huge flower baskets! These baskets are 30 inches in diameter and should help our flowers withstand these hot Oklahoma summers a lot better!

School updates:

Stailee Heard placed 2nd in the 800-meter race at the state track meet this weekend. In doing so, she also set a new school record!

Also, the men’s 800-meter relay also placed 2nd place at state! The school is currently researching their time, as they think the men might have set a new school record, too!

Heartbreaker last Friday as the Chieftain baseball team fell in the semifinals to Piedmont. But these men had an amazing season: They went undefeated (14-0) to claim the district championship and regional championships!
