Celebrating the 4th in Sapulpa and Surrounding Communities

CROSS POINTE CHURCH (on the hill between Hwys. 66 and 97 overlooking Sapulpa)

Will kind of get it all going tonight with its “spectacular” fireworks show known as “Fire On The Mountain.” The gates opened at 6 with a host of pre-fireworks family fun events.

Here’s others:

Kiefer boasts of “a really big show for a small town” at its city park on Friday, reports the Sapulpa World. The event’s food vendors will be selling barbecue, Italian ices, turkey legs and more. Live music begins about 7:30 p.m., and the fireworks show sees this little town of about 2,000 grow to about 15,000 when darkness arrives. A note: Parking is available at Kiefer High School, with buses to transport guests back and forth. The fun kicks off at 5 p.m. at Kiefer City Park, live music and a fireworks show at dark.

Admission: Free. Information: Kiefer City Hall, 918-321-5925

Jenks hosts multiple events in honor of Independence Day, beginning with Jenks America Freedom Fest, which finds downtown stores open, live music playing, free watermelon being consumed and family-friendly activities available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday on Main Street.
The Oklahoma Aquarium offers Fish and Fireworks. When regular 10 a.m.-6 p.m. hours conclude, the aquarium reopens at 6:30 p.m. with half-price admission, and those attending can bring a blanket to sit out back for one of the best views of fireworks at RiverWalk Crossing.

Los Cabos Boomfest takes place at RiverWalk Crossing, with the restaurant hosting mariachis, balloon artists and face-painting for kids, and live entertainment from 7 p.m. to midnight.

Admission: Free. Information: 918-299-5005.

And last but definitely not least. On Saturday night, Sapulpa’s annual fireworks display sponsored by American Heritage Bank will go off across from the Sapulpa Municipal Golf Course, with parking in the Wal-Mart lot and family-friendly events beginning at 7 p.m.
Event details: Saturday events conclude with fireworks at about 9:45 p.m. fired from Sapulpa Municipal Golf Course, 1200 W. Dewey Ave. The show is choreographed to music and can be heard within a two-mile radius on FM 88.5.
