Johnson and Johnson tentatively agreed earlier this year to a $26 billion settlement in response to lawsuits from 3,000 state and local governments. The bulk of the monies received is to be used for addiction research and treatment.

On Wednesday of this week, the City of Sapulpa sold another $6.3 million of the $40.235 million GO Bond package passed in January of 2022, bringing the total amount of drawn-down funds to $27.05M, or about 67%.

A request recommended for approval at the Creek County Planning Commission meeting last Tuesday to rezone a 5-acre tract of land from Industrial to Commercial District to extend an existing RV park was heard by the BOCC at its regular Monday morning.

The Board of County Commissioners unanimously agreed to pass its decision to grant a Preliminary Plat for a new residential subdivision at South 129th West Avenue and West 71st Street South in Sapulpa until its June 6th meeting.
