The upcoming weekend at Sapulpa’s Route 66 Christmas Chute looks like it could be the busiest one so far this season, judging by the sheer number of things happening in just a three-day span. Everything from live music to live animals, to hot chocolate and Christmas crafts will be available in downtown Sapulpa this weekend, starting Friday evening. Here’s what’s on the calendar, starting with the most “need to know” items:
Final Weekend: Merry Market
The Merry Market, a first for the 2024 season, will have it’s final weekend on Saturday at the Route 66 Christmas Chute. This special shopping market includes around 40 vendors with unique and handcrafted items ranging from crochets to sugar cookies and so much more! If you missed the market last weekend because of the chilly wind, be sure to get there this time! The market will be from 10am to 4pm in the Creek County Courthouse parking lot at 222. E Dewey.
Live Music: Mark Gibson
Mark Gibson has played Sapulpa twice earlier this year, and both times were a huge hit! If you haven’t had the chance to see Mark play yet, you have not had a full live music experience! Come see Mark live at Herald Square on Saturday at 6pm. Get a taste of Mark’s music with this song, “I ain’t tryin’ to hit on yo’ mama”
A Night in Bethlehem: Live Nativity
Back for the second year, the “Night in Bethlehem” experience is brought to you by Westside Freewill Baptist and includes a full marketplace with live animals and interactive retelling of the birth of Jesus. This event will be on Saturday and Sunday evening starting at 6pm! See more information on Facebook.
