This week we’ve got an out-of-this-world fireworks show by American Heritage Bank, the delish Elks fish fry, and the much-anticipated Sapulpa Parks’ Youth Triathlon! Get out there and enjoy our fair city!

Thursday, July 4

Bazemore Bluegrass Band from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Sapulpa Bible Church, 1117 South Brenner Road. The church will provide hot dogs and hamburgers at 5:30 p.m. with folks bringing sides or desserts. If you plan on coming, it would be great to get a head count. Then they’ll have the Bazemore Bluegrass Band play music at 6:30 p.m.

4th of July Party in the Park from 6 to 10 p.m. at The Way Church, 811 West Taft in Sapulpa. Bring your friends and family for an evening of fun as they wait for the Sapulpa Fireworks Show. They will have food trucks from Steak and Bake, Louie’s Dog House, Pie in the Sky, and Bon Cherie, inflatables, Oz Productions DJ services, and more.

23rd Annual Fireworks Celebration by American Heritage Bank from 7 to 10:15 p.m. at the Sapulpa Walmart. Bring your lawn chairs and join in fun family activities from 7 until the show starts at 9:45. The fireworks will be launched from the Sapulpa Municipal Golf Course and the show will last approximately 30 minutes. You may tune into radio station 88.5 FM to listen to the music with the fireworks.

Friday, July 5 

Elks BPOE Lodge #1118 Monthly Fish Fry from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lodge, 24 South Poplar Street in Sapulpa. Join them for their monthly fish fry for just $7.50 a plate! They guarantee good food, good times, and great people! For more information please call 918-224-1118.  

Saturday, July 6 

2019 Youth Triathlon from 8 to 11 a.m. at the City of Sapulpa Aquatic Center at 701 North Brown, sponsored by Sapulpa Parks. Does your child enjoy biking, running, and swimming? Does he or she have a competitive edge? If so, this Youth Triathlon is the perfect event for him or her! Sign up by visiting the Aquatic Center Office. The cost is $5 per child, and kids 3-15 may participate. Athletes must provide their own bike and helmet, and shoes that are to be worn during the bike and run portion. Other Area Events

Route 66 Res-Q Storage Flea Market on Saturday, July 7 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 20030 West Route 66 in Kellyville. The market is in Unit 325–the new, nice storage building with the large fence around it. It’s right in town, next to the Kellyville bank! Free Pancake Breakfast on Sunday the 7th at Faith Church, 1901 West 171st Street South in Glenpool. Bring your friends! They’ll have plenty of pancakes and bacon for everyone, from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. This will be followed by a traditional service at 9 a.m. and a contemporary worship at 10:30 a.m. This event occurs on the first Sunday of every month!
