A Town West-area restaurant was heavily damaged by a fire that started about an hour after the eatery closed Wednesday afternoon.
Sapulpa firefighters responded to the blaze at Zayn’s Cafe, 5688 W. Skelly Drive, about 4:20 p.m., Fire Capt. Greg Tallman said.
When firefighters arrived, smoke was pouring from the back side of the building. Not long afterward, the blaze blew out the building’s windows, and flames consumed a corner of the structure, Tallman said.
