At shortly before 2 pm on Monday, July 5, Sapulpa Police and Fire responded to a call of a driver who had crashed her white Chevy Impala into the Sapulpa Taco Bell. There were no injuries reported.
“I guess I did that classic senior mistake,” the woman told Sapulpa Times at the scene, saying that she put the car in drive instead of reverse by accident and hit the accelerator. She says she tried to hit the brake, but by that time, “it was too late.”
Employees inside Taco Bell said that there doesn’t appear to be any structural damage to the building, but will be closing that side of the building to customers for “a few days” while the repairs are made. The damage to the driver’s car was minimal, and she was able to drive away.
