Even if you haven’t met the Mathesons, you probably know the name. They own the building on Main Street where Mark Matheson houses his law practice while his wife Donya runs Dynamic Recruiting directly below.
Now their daughter Macy is entering the entrepreneurial foray with the opening of her own upscale clothing boutique called Whimsical Willow, located at 15 N. Main.
A retailer to trendy and chic women’s and kids clothing, Macy classifies her boutique with a staunch difference from the other boutiques in town through it’s products and it’s price points.
“We carry the same products you’ll find at Brookside in Tulsa, but at a price range that’s more affordable for folks in Sapulpa,” she says.
The brightly-colored store certainly feels a little more like Brookside or Utica Square than Creek County, but the blouses, skirts and toddler outfits will appeal to the girl or young mom, no matter the school district.
Matheson remarked how her after-college experience took her on a tour of exotic locations, helping her to experience other cultures and become more “worldly”. After returning home, she began to assist her mother Donya Matheson in running their sporting goods store, which occupied the space where Whimsical Boutique now resides.
Her time there taught her how to run a retail store, and helped developed her affinity for unique, cute clothing. Eventually, the Mathesons decided to close the sporting goods store and the rest is history.
Whimsical Willow Boutique is open Monday – Friday from 10am to 6:30pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. Find out more information and see updates on their Facebook Page.
