Where to see a real fireworks show in and around Sapulpa this year

It’s one of those weird years where July 4th falls on a Thursday—not quite enough to make for a 3-day weekend, so many folks will be celebrating the weekend before or after.

Even though D-Luxe Properties is stepping in to provide a drone show on July 3rd for the third year in a row, plenty of people still want to see live fireworks, and a handful of folks are working to get one going. Here’s what we’ve been able to find happening in and around Sapulpa if you want to see a live fireworks show this year:

Kellyville Freedom Festival

Featuring food trucks, a mechanical bull, a petting zoo and more, Kellyville’s Freedom Festival promises “fireworks at dark” and should make for a good time on Saturday evening, June 29th. The festival kicks off at 6pm and will be held at Kellyville City Hall.

‘Merica Fest at the Creek County Fairgrounds

The Sapulpa Cruise Night’s 2nd Annual ‘Merica Fest at the Creek County Fairgrounds looks to be a solid option for spending a Saturday evening this year. They’re promising prizes and giveaways, in addition to Live Music, BBQ and fireworks at dark. This one starts at 3pm and can last the whole evening. More information on this event on Facebook.

Happy Acres Cowboy Church in Kiefer

On July 3rd at 8pm, Happy Acres Cowboy Church in Kiefer is celebrating with food, fun and fireworks, plus a special guest John Jacobs from the Power Force to show feats of strength. This event will be at the Crossbar Arena on 171st Street South in Kiefer. Find more information on this one on Facebook.

FBC Freedom in Cleveland, Oklahoma

If you’re up for a bit of a road trip, First Baptist Church in Cleveland Oklahoma will be holding their “Freedom Celebration” on Saturday at 6:30 pm. With inflatables, cornhole, face painting, horseshoes and what they’re calling a “big fireworks display” at 9:30 pm. Their event will include a flag presentation and the national anthem, so this one looks to be especially patriotic. Get more information and directions on Facebook.
