What we know about the plane that crash-landed near Sapulpa on Wednesday

A small plane crash-landed near Sapulpa after the pilot reportedly had an engine failure, leading to an emergency landing on 49th W. Avenue just north of the Creek County Turnpike.

The pilot, Dan Howard, told News on 6 that he had “engine failure” and “had to set the aircraft down.” Howard was not injured, and no other vehicles were involved.

The plane was a single-engine Cessna 210 and the pilot was the only person on board. Howard did say that he “barely missed hitting a car,” as he tried to put the plane down safely.
