What to know for Friday’s upcoming game against Grove

Sapulpa’s first home game of the season brings a lot of anticipation as the Chieftains hope to break a 0-2 record and bring one into the win column in Friday’s game against Grove.

Grove has won both their games so far this season, first a 42-0 win against Vinita, followed by a 47-12 win against Jay. Sapulpa has lost both of its first two games of the season, but by much slimmer margins, at 24-14 against Tahlequah, and then 10-7 against Yukon.

Here are the essentials for Friday’s game:

Gates open at 5:30 pm and kickoff is at 7 pm. Tickets are $5 for students and seniors, and $7 for adults. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online via GoFan.

If you’re not able to be at the game, you can watch it on YouTube at Chieftain TV or listen on the radio at ESPN 99.9.

Sapulpa students in 8th-12th grade must have their ID and enter at the student gate on the home side. Students K-7th grade, or any student 8th-12th that does not have their ID must be accompanied by an adult to get in. A “clear bag policy” will be enforced for varsity football games.
