What to do this weekend in Sapulpa (Oct 16-18th)

We’ve got a couple of big benefits going on this weekend, and some really stuff just down the highway! Get out and about to learn new things, or go to support a good cause, or to buy some fancy vintage-chic knick knack you didn’t need but hey, it’s on sale, so…

Friday

Open Paint with Joelle, 6:30pm at Over Edukated: Come and learn enjoy this cool technique by painting with sharpies. $30.00 per painter on 11×14 canvas.
All supplies included.

Saturday

It opened on Friday, but if you haven’t been yet, you may want to check out Vintage Market Days, which is classifying itself as Tulsa, but is actually at the Creek County Fairgrounds. By this time, admission is cheaper (down to $5 from $10 on Friday) and you can get in as many times as you want. You folks who like vintage stuff, or to repurpose stuff, or buy repurposed vintage stuff will want to check this one out. More details here.

Sunday

I AM BBQ is doing their monthly “Smokin’ 4 a Cause” fundraiser on Sunday the 18th. This month is to benefit Gary Stockton, who has been waiting on a kidney transplant for 14 years and has finally reached his turn. In addition to the food sales, there is a silent auction with gift baskets at the restaurant. All proceeds will go to NFT for Gary’s transplant. Will run from 11am to 7pm or until they run out of food.

Near Sapulpa

Kellyville is having a Spook House Friday from 6-10pm at the old gym. Cost unknown.

Kellyville is also having Bingo at Kellyville City Hall. Cards are $2 each or 3 for $5. Concessions, a raffle and a silent auction will also be going, all to help support the KV Cheerleaders. This one will be from 7pm to 10pm.

We don’t normally post about Tulsa Events, but I’ll bring this one up because of who it’s for. Jumpin’ J’s is hosting a benefit for Cari Pritchard, the widow of recently slain Sapulpa Police Officer Captain Trey Pritchard.  The benefit is Saturday and starts at 2 p.m. and promises prizes to be raffled off and 50-50 tickets will be on sale. Plenty of great food and a great time.

Recurring Events

Last week Main Street Sapulpa launched their Tasty Tuesdays Food Truck Gathering. If you haven’t been yet, check it out! We’ve got your details right here.

There’s a Used Book Sale going on at the Library Annex, Monday-Thursday from 9am-5pm through November 15th. More details on that one here.

Coming Up

We hope you’re loving this weather. The holidays are right around the corner, but right now we’re all in full-on fall mode. And fall means pumpkins, which means pumpkin patches, but there are a lot of them around…you see where we’re going with this? Keep an eye out, folks.

Did we miss your event? We’re working hard to put out a fresh post every week to help keep folks in Sapulpa, doing Sapulpa things and spending money at Sapulpa businesses. If you have an event you want to see listed, be sure to hit us up at news@sapulpatimes.com – let us know!
