What to Do This Weekend (August 10 – August 12)

Saturday, August 11

Sapulpa Main Street’s Route 66 Farmers Market from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 222 East Dewey Avenue in Sapulpa. They will have lots of fresh produce, baked goods, fresh eggs, local beef, homemade items, and more. Additionally, today is their Customer Appreciation Day! All morning each vendor will be giving away raffle tickets, no purchase necessary, for 3 prizes to be awarded at 11 a.m. The more booths you visit, the better your chance of winning. Aqua Zumba from 11 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. at the Sapulpa Aquatics Center at 701 North Brown Street in Sapulpa. Admission is $5 per person at the gate and participants must be 14 years or older. What a great way to beat the heat and to get in a good workout! More information here.

Back-to-School Bash from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hope Community Outreach Center of Sapulpa, located at 700 North Hickory Street. Join them for this annual back-to-school community event, where the first 100 students will receive a free backpack filled with school supplies. Blue and White Game at 2 p.m. at the Sapulpa High School football field. Come watch your varsity football team scrimmage each other before the official season starts! For more information, please visit the Sapulpa Touchdown Club’s Facebook page here.

End of Summer Madness Basketball Tournament for 1st – 8th grade boys and girls on Saturday and Sunday at Sapulpa High School. The cost to enter is $125 per team and there will be awards for 1st and 2nd place. For more information, visit the Facebook page here.

Sunday, August 12

Benefit Concert for Mike McGuire’s Liver Transplant at 6:30 p.m. at South Heights Church at 1100 South Wickham Road in Sapulpa. This is a family-friendly public event with free snacks at intermission! Musical acts include 7 Mile Road, The Fireys, Roger Rister, and many more. All proceeds will go towards medicine, hospital co-pays, deductibles, housing, food, gasoline, and other unforeseen expenses relating to Mr. McGuire’s liver transplant. Thursday, August 16th

Rock The Block wraps up the summer with with their event on the third Thursday of August, including food trucks, games, classic cars and beer. Featured band this time will be Bethany Grace and Gypsy Soul! The good times start at 6pm at the parking lot at Hobson and Park streets.
