On Saturday, June 4th, for the 27th year, Main Street Sapulpa welcomes classic car enthusiasts, vendors and thousands of visitors to our annual Route 66 Blowout.
Kicking off at 9am sharp, The Route 66 Blowout has a number of activities and events for the entire family. Here are just a few of the events you can plan on seeing this year:
Route 66 Car Show
By and large the biggest event of the entire car show, vintage and modern cars and trucks will compete for bragging rights and prizes. This year, we’re pushing at least 200 registered vehicles.
Kid’s Zone
Visit the Kid’s Zone in the Courthouse Parking Lot for inflatables, face painting, fun & games!
Sapulpa Arts’ “Route 66 Art Show & Sale”
Happening in the courthouse, featuring Sapulpa’s talented artists. Be sure to stop by and view the special “6 x 6 Collection,” from 9am to 3pm.
Downtown Shopping and Dining
Sapulpa’s downtown merchants offer a unique shopping & dining experience. Stop in and shop while you’re here! Most will have a booth outside their locations with Blowout specials and collector items!
Crafts, Commercial and Food Vendors
The streets will be lined with vendors to offer you crafts, food, and drinks! There will be at least 60 regular vendors, and dozens of others, including political and non-profits. Picnic Place, one of the regulars at Sapulpa’s Tasty Tuesdays food truck gathering, will be available as well!
Yes, The Farmer’s Market is Still Happening!
The Sapulpa Main Street Route 66 Farmer’s Market usually happens at the Courthouse Parking Lot, but since that’s the traditional location for the Kid’s Zone, they moved it to the corner of Elm and Hobson. Be sure to swing by there and get your pick of locally-grown produce!
Little Bit of Country is still Closed
LBOC suffered a major setback during the storms that swept through Sapulpa last week, but it’s turned into an amazing story of support from community and friends. They’ve already started making progress, but it left a good chunk of the street blocked off. I’m told by the folks at Mainstreet that has been (or will soon be) cleaned up and will not affect the car show.
