The 5th Annual Hobson Hops Could Be the Biggest One Yet (and What Else is Happening This Weekend)

All the stars are aligning for what should be a fantastic time at the 5th Annual Hobson Hops this Friday evening: great weather, great music, and perhaps most importantly, no football.

Well, no home football, anyway.

In years past, the Hobson Hops has almost always coincided with a home football game, and usually with a school carnival on the same evening. This kept Sapulpans divided over which event to attend and probably put a damper on the crowd numbers at Sapulpa’s biggest live music event of the season.

Thanks to Chieftain Athletics scheduling an away football game this week (Ponca City), all those who won’t be traveling with the team will now have the chance to come check out some great live music, food and beverages. More details on that and more below:

Thursday, October 9th

Cruise In at Gasoline Alley

6-8 p.m.

The October Cruise-In (maybe the last one for the season?) at Gasoline Alley will happen on Thursday, as scheduled. Muffin Tops will be bringing their fried pies, and class car owners will be bringing their best offerings. Head to 24 N Main and check it out! This month will be “Cruise In for Paws.” Learn more about that here.

Friday, October 10th

Hobson Hops

5 – 10 p.m.

Hobson Hops, a free, outdoor concert, returns to Sapulpa for its 5th year! Will feature music by John Fullbright, Emily Hollingshed and Detour Duo. You’ll also find food trucks, local wineries, a 360-degree photo booth, a kids zone, and craft breweries. Hobson Hops is a family-friendly event, so bring the kids and the lawn chairs!   • Don’t forget about Free Coffee Friday! It happens each Friday morning between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. at CTX Coffee (114 E Dewey Ave). The Sapulpa Library Creator Fair

10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

At the Creator Fair, 20 vendors, from artists to artisans, feature a plethora of unique goods. Whether you are shopping for yourself or for early Christmas presents, our vendors will have all types of merchandise for you. More information here.
