When local activist and business owner Brandon Mull noticed that his son’s teacher at Holmes Park Elementary was trying to raise money for a “learning station rug” that would help students learn placements, spacing, letters and numbers—he knew he wanted to help.
The teacher already had a GoFundMe page set up to raise, but Mull—who is no stranger to action or helping others—thought he could do even more, by incentivizing the crowds with a raffle for three separate tattoos, worth $60.00, $100.00 and $200.00, respectively.
When they met that goal and handed in the $183.50 into the teacher for the new rug, they decided to keep the raffle going to continue to raise money for additional supplies needed by the teachers.
“There are still classroom things to help with the teaching that other classes need, so we will continue to help until September 9th,” Mull said.
Recently, another business jumped on board. Midtown Auto, Diesel and Tread Hunter are offering a free oil change and tire rotation. All proceeds go to Holmes Park Elementary.
Raffle Tickets are $5.00 each or 3 for $10.00 and can be picked up at Mission Street Tattoo, at 200 N Mission Street in Sapulpa. The final drawing will be at 6pm on September 9th.
