(SPS) — At Monday, May 9th’s regularly scheduled board of education meeting, board members unanimously approved the contract of the new Sapulpa Middle School principal, Peter Carter.
Mr. Carter will start his duties in the summer and welcome students in the fall of 2022. Mr. Carter comes to us from Union Public Schools, where he was the Assistant Principal for the 8th Grade Center. In addition, he has worked as a teacher at Coweta Public Schools, Tulsa Public Schools, and Cascia Hall Preparatory School.
This is also a homecoming of sorts for Mr. Carter as he served as a Fundamentals of Technology teacher, football coach, and wrestling coach for Sapulpa Public Schools for several years until May of 2021.
Mr. Carter earned his bachelor’s degree in health from Arkansas Tech University, as well as his Master’s degree in education leadership and policy from Southern Nazarene University.
