Last Issue of Republican

“With this issue of the Republican we make our final bow to the readers of the Republican. The paper which has been a weekly visitor at your home will from now on come from the office of the Creek County Democrat-News to which concern it has been sold. It has been evident for several months that the weekly newspaper field in Sapulpa was overcrowded and that all papers here could not make a reasonable return on the money invested in them and because of the constantly increasing demands on the printing force of this office for commercial job work and rapid growth of the office supply business which is calling constantly for more space and attention from the publishers of the Republican it was thought best to discontinue that paper.”
